During the ministry of Jesus, a group of Pharisees informed Jesus that Herod wanted to kill him. Jesus boldly responded “Go and tell that fox . . .” Typically, the term “fox” is interpreted to mean one who is sly and cunning. In this message, Pastor Ryan Habbena explores the distinct Hebrew background of the term “fox.” Once this background is understood, this is used as a springboard to compare “the fox,” Herod, to the powerful “Lion from the tribe of Judah” - Jesus of Nazareth.

Believers in Jesus Christ have been given the most precious promise imaginable: the promise of eternal life. In this message pastor Ryan Habbena explores this wonderful promise stated in 1 John 2:25. Through expounding this passage, Ryan explains both what this promise means and how one becomes an heir to this hope. When one understands this hope granted by the Father, the truth is unveiled that eternal life has already begun for those in Christ Jesus.

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
- 1 Corinthians 1:18

For the last two thousand years this text has rang true. In today’s culture, even within the church, the message of the cross is met with incredulity. In this message Ryan Habbena demonstrates that the cross needs to continually be at the center of all that transpires within the church. Though the cross is still seen as foolishness by those who are perishing, it remains, and always will be, the “power of God” to those who are being saved.
